The task
For this assignment, I had to design a book as a film prop. While creating it, I considered the film set, the script, and the specific moment when the book appears on screen. I kept the design relatively simple so that it would not distract from or dominate the scene. I also read the character's biography to ensure that the book suited their background and personality. Finally, I made sure the design stayed true to the book's theme and title.

Design Choices Behind the Book Cover
For the book cover design, I chose peacock feathers as the central visual element. The peacock symbolizes pride and self-confidence, making it a perfect match for the book's theme. The calming color palette creates a harmonious look and enhances the overall peaceful atmosphere of the design.
I also decided to keep the cover clean and uncluttered. By avoiding too many visual elements, the title remains clear and easy to read, which is especially important when the book needs to be visible on screen in a film.
Finally, I added a library label to the cover. This detail supports the story, as the mother has a limited budget and is therefore more likely to borrow a book from the library rather than purchase one.
